Why join us?
Although an international movement, Slow Food thrives on the involvement of people in their local community who are interested in the food they produce and consume.
Each local Slow Food convivium (group) shares the Slow Food philosophy of 'good, clean and fair food for all', while having a real say in how those ideas are put into practice locally.
We are always happy to welcome new members.
As well as supporting local Slow Food work, your membership fee supports Slow Food's work across the globe, including important programs like:
- the Ark of Taste;
- Terra Madre;
- Cooks' Alliance;
- 10,000 Gardens in Africa
One of the positives of being aligned to an international movement is that your Slow Food membership applies not just to your 'home' Convivium, but to every Slow Food group across Australia and around the world.
